You are one of those people that is living a double life. One regular, everyday life, and the other is the life you are dreaming of.

 

There is an entire unlived life within you were a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment is hidden. Late at night, when you are in the state between being awake and falling asleep you experience visions of the person you can become.

 

Deep down, you know there is something bigger and better waiting for you. You know that there is much more potential power and ability than the one you are using. You are aware that the resources to make a dramatic difference in your life are within you, but most of the time you are unable to access them.

 

It seems like there is an invisible barrier that is standing in your way to be all you can be. There is an abyss between the place where you are standing right now and where you would like to see yourself in the future.

You clearly know what you want. You have an idea and you set a goal. You know you are educated, smart and capable of getting there. Yet, achieving goals happen with much less ease. You seem to end up going around in circles, tripping over your own feet.

Somewhere deep below the surface you notice thoughts of doubt and hidden fears of failure or even fears of success. The feeling grows and you become uncertain whether you’ll actually achieve the goal you set. You become insecure, start to lack energy and experience mental fog. You work hard and long, but instead of being closer to the goal you are getting physically and emotionally exhausted.

Procrastination comes in. You start to rationalize and tell yourself why you are not supposed to or don't want to take any action. You come up with all the stories and excuses of why remaining the same is easier and better than taking action towards your goals and dreams.

You are standing in your own way, sabotaging yourself through either your thoughts or your actions.

It is time to ask yourself: What’s causing me to sabotage my behavior?

We fear our highest possibilities (as well as our lowest ones). We are generally afraid to become that which we can glimpse in our most perfect moments, under the most perfect conditions, under conditions of great courage. We enjoy and even thrill to the godlike possibilities we see in ourselves in such peak moments. And yet we simultaneously shiver with weakness, awe, and fear before these very same possibilities.

Do you wake up every morning looking forward to the day ahead of you? Do you love what you are doing? Is the work you do bringing you feelings of joy and fulfillment?

If your answer is YES, then keep on smiling and doing what you do.

If your answer is NO, read on.

Take a deep breath in and listen to your own heart. Hear that small voice telling you what you really want to do with your time and your life. You know it. No one has to tell you. The question is how much longer you will wait until you start listening. A day or two? A month? A year? A Lifetime?

Does creating your own reality scares you? Does it get uncomfortable to think about your true self? Do you create great excuses for not changing: not good enough, not educated enough, or not successful enough, the time is not right, it is too hard?

You are right. At least as long as you choose to believe this. You can always choose to reconnect with your birthright gifts that make you an entirely unique person, with a defined purpose and special talents you can share with the world and others. You can choose to dig deeper than the influence and expectations of family, friends, teachers, and the media. You can choose to remove labels and name tags others have placed on who you are. You can choose to stop basing your decisions on a need for approval, prestige, and security.

You can choose to live a life full of love, instead of a life of fear.
